R.Greenleaf, a Schwazze brand, has been connecting New Mexico’s cannabis customers with medicinal marijuana products since 2010. In 2022, when recreational cannabis sales were legalized in NM, R.Greenleaf expanded to serve the new market. They recognized the need to update their website to meet the expectations of these two distinct customer groups. ATF jumped in to create a new site that met those needs while staying true to the brand’s promise of an inclusive, welcoming cannabis experience rooted in quality and community.

The Challenge

As a vertically integrated brand with a long history serving the medical community, R.Greenleaf needed a site that would appeal to both their core medical marijuana patients and the growing recreational market. The new site would have to differentiate between medical and recreational offerings, incorporate local SEO content for each of their dispensary locations, and enable the R.Greenleaf team to gather and own their customer data so they could leverage it to enhance their customer service and personalize the customer experience.

Project Highlights

Leveraging the website template we had built for Schwazze’s Star Buds Colorado site, we were able to deliver a site that met the project requirements in just under four months.

Dual Audience Experience

Because R.Greenleaf served both medical patients and recreational customers, we modified the existing template to create a way for users to switch between med and rec for accurate menus and pricing.

Localized SEO Content

In addition to writing traditional SEO copy for R.Greenleaf dispensary pages, we also conducted interviews with each of the store’s managers to learn more about their stores. We used these interviews to capture each store’s unique history and personality, memorializing them in blog posts to further personalize each dispensary location.

Brand Voice

In line with their New Mexico roots and compassionate values, R.Greenleaf’s new site is welcoming yet professional. We used their brand history and interviews with key team members to guide our copywriting, incorporating a tone that was knowledgeable and approachable.

Shop By Options

In addition to serving two different customer groups, the site was designed to allow customers to shop by either category or brand depending on their preference. A toggle in the main menu lets users choose their shopping preference.
