Meet Magento Florida 2024 Recap: Strengthening Connections in Ecommerce

Meet Magento Florida 2024 Recap: Strengthening Connections in Ecommerce

Ever wondered what happens when the digital world takes a beach vacation? Forget the typical, run-of-the-mill industry events. Meet Magento Florida 2024 was all about sparking connections, igniting ideas, and, dare we say, having an absolute blast while at it. The event is hosted at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, in Hollywood, Florida, turning a professional meetup into the ultimate work-play destination.

Why are we buzzing about it? Because at Above The Fray, we believe in the power of community, innovation, and, yes, a good bit of fun. So, let us take you on a behind-the-scenes journey through the highlights and hidden gems of Meet Magento Florida 2024. Trust us; this is one recap you won’t want to miss.

Breakout Sessions to Remember

MM24FL had a great balance of keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and social activities. Our Chief Financial Officer, Marisol Garcia, even MC’d a few sessions for Meet Magento Florida 2024, but you wouldn’t have guessed that it was her first time from her commanding stage presence. Marisol wasn’t the only member of the ATF fam to set foot on stage. Director of Engineering, Thayer Luscian, presented in the technical track; From Testing to PRs: Mastering the Three Core Aspects of Software Releasing, which was as insightful as it was entertaining. While you would never pry this from Thayer, ATF’s CEO Noah Oken-Berg told us multiple people mentioned it was their favorite session of the day. But hey, he might be a *little* biased!  Thayer has taken off since his debut at Meet Magento NYC 2023, having now spoken at three major industry events in the past 6 months.

One of the best parts of Meet Magento events is that they provide a platform for the unsung voices in the ecommerce industry. Our team enjoyed catching other breakout sessions, including a few speakers who made their debut at Meet Magento New York 2023, such as Julien Anquetil, who flew out from the Loire Valley of France to deliver his first industry talk at the Seminole Hardrock. And it was “en feu”, quite literally… Rising from the Ashes: How a Data Center Fire Ignited a $30 Million Online Sales Success. Far from newcomers, respected industry veterans and Magento advocates Nitu Walker and Ritesh Somani from Adobe presented the mind-tingling session Beyond Transactions: Exploring the Impact of AI in Payments and gave us plenty of food for thought on the future of payments.

But First, Coffee!

The quality of the content presented at MM24FL says so much about the integrity of the event and the value it provides to our community. Although, the conversations that took place in between sessions also added a lot to the event. The coffee breaks sprinkled between talks showed just how intimate and close-knit the event was.

Above The Fray was proud to support the event this year by sponsoring the coffee breaks. We understand the importance of furthering connections in the ecommerce community and allowing for face-to-face interactions, and sitting down to chat over a cup of joe is a great way to do that. It is a small gesture, but we were thrilled to support the event.

Fun in the Florida Sun

With sunny Florida as the backdrop for this event, it was hard not to have a blast! Our team had a great time at the Aheadworks and Rave Digital party. We really enjoyed catching up with the Magento community in a less formal setting. Rave Digital also organized optional excursions for attendees, including a visit to the Everglades or an afternoon jet skiing.

The cherry on top? With Miami just 20 miles away, Meet Magento Florida wasn’t just a great industry event—it was also your perfect excuse to blend business with pleasure. Whether reuniting with old pals or exploring new sights, the event was more than just a conference; it was a mini-vacation for the ATF team.

Meet Magento Florida 2024 left us buzzing with energy and brimming with ideas. We’re already counting down the days until the next one.
