Meet the First App from ATF Labs: A Zamp x Adobe Commerce Sale Tax Integration

The Zamp x Adobe Commerce integration is the first official Above The Fray extension to launch on the Adobe Marketplace, and the first release from our newly minted innovation division: ATF Labs
The Zamp Magento 2 Sales Tax integration is a connector that automates sales tax calculation and compliance for Adobe Commerce merchants using Zamp, a fully managed sales tax solution that takes the hassle out of registration, filing, and remittance across all 50 states.
We’re really excited to have grown to the place where we can carve out space for our incredible development team to think big and innovate, solve for real merchant pain points in a way that is scalable, not just for our clients but for much broader use. They’ve got lots of ideas in the pipeline but if you have one you think we should consider, we’re all ears. The Zamp App is just the beginning.
Why we started with the Zamp App
We partner with several different sales tax platforms for ecommerce businesses, but Zamp offers something unique that we saw an opportunity to provide for, not just our clients, but merchants across the Adobe/Magento Open Source ecosystem. Sales tax is complex, and it’s high-stakes. For merchants that don’t have a tax pro in-house, the management of sales tax, even with sales tax automation tools, can be a real pain point.
Zamp offers a white glove service that lets merchants basically forget about sales tax entirely, knowing that it’s being covered by experts. Until now, Adobe Commerce merchants needed expensive custom development to connect the two platforms. That’s where we came in.
We built the extension to:
- Automate real-time tax calculation via Zamp’s API
- Support product- and location-level tax logic
- Sync orders, refunds, and discounts with Zamp’s filing engine
- Let merchants manage everything from the Zamp dashboard—no complicated tax tables in Magento required
And because this is a fully supported app, you can install it through the Adobe Marketplace in a matter of minutes without a developer and Zamp will help with the rest—helping determine what states you need to collect in, setting it up and ensuring your tax obligations are fulfilled.
